Buying shoes online is not something that I do on a regular basis, but when I needed another pair of my trusty K-Swiss classics I thought since I already knew the size I'd need, I'd give online shopping a try and attempt to find a bargain. I previously shopped at K-Swiss.com, but Shoebuy beat the price and had free shipping and no sales tax. What's a girl to do? Uh duh, a shopping we shall go!! The Selection- First things first, the most impressive thing to me about Shoebuy.com was the selection they offer. If brands like the aforementioned K-Swiss, Keds, Timberland, Rockport, and Merrell whet your appetite, you'll be in heaven. Shoes are pretty much all they sell here, and in every size, color and occasion you can dream up. They do have a smattering of accessories and luggage as well, but it's all about the shoes! Shopping- Navigation on the Shoebuy site is a piece of cake and you can shop by any number of methods, popular brands, age group, occasion, sales, and so on. Easy page loads and a good-sized thumbnail picture accompany search results. The details of the items are thorough as well. You'll be able to see colors, the size range, a description, a larger photo, and a handy feature that tells how true to fit a shoe brand runs. (Almost essential when ordering online). Checking Out- There isn't anything too remarkable about checking out at Shoebuy. The process is smooth and easy, just like the shopping process. In fact it's mostly done on one page, with billing and shipping information all together to streamline things. Payment can be made by Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, and Discover. The options aren't as varied as some sites, but the basics are covered. E-mail confirmation was prompt and included shipping information, and a tracking link. Delivery was right on the money, and done by UPS. My order took a total of 7 days, not bad for free shipping. Gift Certificates Shoebuy.com does sell gift certificates as well. Though, they don't let you pay with a g.c. when you check out. This is a bit odd, but first you need to go to the g.c. section of the website and redeem your certificate, then shop. Not a deal breaker that would keep me from using the site, but it may dissuade me from purchasing a gift certificate. I was very pleased with the selection, service and delivery on Shoebuy, but the price wowed me! Be sure to register for an additional 10% off your order to lower that price any further.
